- What is our history
- The Chorale was founded in 1967 by Daryl Wonderly
- Regularly performs with professional instrumental ensembles,
including groups from Syracuse and Utica Symphonies
- Has combined with other adult choirs including Mohawk Valley
Chorus, Marcellus Chorale, Oswego Festival Chorus
- Performed European Concert Tour of American music in 2003
- Performed Italy Concert Tour of American music in 2005
- Performed Scotland and Ireland Concert Tour of American music in 2007
- Performed Wales, England, Belgium and Netherlands Concert Tour of American music in 2009
- Performed France and Germany Concert Tour of American music in July 2011

- Funds from membership dues, ticket sales, patron donations,
corporate support and grants from the Stanley Center for the Arts
- Our Director
- Mrs. Kimberly Nethaway, retired vocal music teacher for Vernon-Verona-Sherrill Central
Schools. Kim holds a degree in Music Education from Hartwick College, and completed
graduate studies from SUNY Cortland and Potsdam in Music Education. She is
also Director of Music at the First Presbyterian Church in Rome.
- Our Accompanists
- HEATHER O'CONNELL is a graduate of the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam, receiving a
Bachelor's Degree in Music Education with an emphasis in piano and vocal music. She earned her
Master's Degree in Music Education from SUNY Fredonia. Heather is currently a vocal music teacher
in the Oneida City School District. She is an avid pianist, accompanying for the OHS Musicals,
MCMEA All-County Festivals, and various NYSSMA soloists.Heather lives in Oneida with her
husband Paul and three sons Jordan, Benjamin and Seth.
- BERNADETTE VANVALKENBURG is a graduate of SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry, majoring in biology.
She earned a Master's Degree in Science Education from SUNY Cortland. Bernadette recently retired after many years
as a chemistry teacher at Vernon-Verona-Sherrill High School. She has played piano for many VVS Drama Club musical
productions. Bernadette lives in Sherrill with her husband Tom
